- Tell us about your business.
"Our company distributes PANASONIC electrical appliances for residential use, such as power plugs, lighting,
and air conditioning products. We use KANNA in our engineering department, which is primarily responsible for installing, designing, and constructing solar power systems (solar) to be used as an alternative energy source.
We also serve as a sub-contractor and assist customers in providing advice and troubleshooting for air conditioning system components, as well as offering maintenance services for industrial and factory-related equipment (inverter/industrial treatment)".
- How did you manage your business before KANNA?
"Within the company's servers, each project has a folder, which is managed according to predefined formats. We also communicate through email and phone calls. We encountered challenges when working outside of Bangkok, as accessing the server and communication became problematic. Such situations may occur, especially in the morning or evening, making it difficult for field staff to deliver their work. Furthermore, server storage space was limited, requiring us to delete old data when starting new projects.
To address these issues, the company considered using the KANNA tool to make it easy for on-site staff to access information conveniently and efficiently manage their work. We experimented with KANNA with staff at various job sites to evaluate its user-friendliness and software performance before actual implementation".
- How do you use KANNA?
"We set up templates for various projects, including report templates, basic files for project documents, and images. If customers need data or images, they can access them instantly. For reporting, we currently use 'Daily Report' through KANNA's reporting function to create daily reports. In addition, all schedules, drawings, on-site reports, documents, etc. are stored in folders. Access to this information is possible from smartphones, making work smoother and more convenient".
- How do you use KANNA with other systems?
"Currently, we do not integrate KANNA with other systems, but we are considering using KANNA in additional departments in the future".
- Have you considered other tools and systems?
"I haven't considered any other tools, but we are waiting for new features from KANNA, which are planned for release soon".
- What kind of changes have you seen since using KANNA?
"We have started using 'Daily Report' for daily reporting. Although, the company's 'Reports' are actually weekly reports, we use KANNA to take daily details as 'Memos.' We have designed our report format to match Panasonic's reporting format. This allows us to export and import data instantly when generating reports".
- Are there any other areas where you utilize KANNA?
"I want KANNA to become a primary tool in our organization, not limited to just the construction department but also including Sales and Maintenance. Especially the calendar feature, because if everyone on the team uses it, we will have a clear view of the sales and maintenance team’s schedules".
- What do you expect from KANNA in the future?
"I've heard that Aldagram is developing a new Gantt Chart feature, and the ability to display detailed work steps is expected to be very useful for Panasonic in the future. The Gantt Chart feature can display detailed work steps and export data as a Master Schedule".
